Lyft Ahead Of Earnings Figures

A guide to Lyft benefits as a Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholder

The cards we feature here are from partners who compensate us when you are approved through our site, and this may impact how or where these products appear. We don’t cover all available credit cards, but our analysis, reviews, and opinions are entirely from our editorial team. Terms apply to the offers listed on this page. Please view our advertising policy and product review methodology for more information.

Most Chase cardholders know that they earn additional points for Lyft rides, but the Lyft experience for Chase Sapphire Reserve® (see rates and fees) cardholders has even more to offer.

Cardholders also receive a $10 monthly Lyft credit, which can add up to $120 in savings annually.

What Lyft benefits do I get as a Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholder?

As a Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholder, you’ll get 5 points per dollar spent on Lyft, plus a $10 monthly in-app credit on all Lyft purchases through Sept. 2027.

The credit does not apply to Wait & Save, bike or scooter rides on the Lyft app. The $10 monthly ride credit is automatically added to the Lyft app on the first day of each month. Any unused credit expires at the end of every month.

As a Sapphire Reserve cardholder, you’ll also receive a complimentary DoorDash DashPass subscription (activate by Dec. 31, 2027). If you link this membership to your Lyft account, you can receive discounts on your rides each month.

Bottom line

The monthly $10 ride credit toward Lyft rides is useful and helps offset the Chase Sapphire Reserve’s steep annual fee. Just keep in mind that you can’t use this credit on certain types of Lyft rides and it doesn’t roll over month-to-month.

If you rarely use ride-hailing apps, then this benefit provides little value. That’s especially the case given the loss of Lyft Pink All-Access, which used to be a complimentary benefit on the Sapphire Reserve. But if you’re naturally using Lyft each month, this benefit can help you save some extra cash.
