Soon, the brothers are off together on a magical historical adventure as their imaginations open up a world of painted wonders to discover.
The story not only introduces readers to the creativity and imagination that great art can spark but also inspires them to create their own art. It walks them through what they can expect if they visit a museum, from the fact that museums are organized into galleries navigated by way of a visitor’s map to the fact that there is a gift store to look forward to at the end of the trip. The full-page, vintage-feel artwork continues this familiarization, using creative perspective and rich detail to convey the vastness and grandeur of the museum building—and the magic of art-inspired imaginative play.

About the Author
A.M. Xavier has been writing for more than twenty years in the consumer goods industry. When journaling after the passing of his twin brother grew into an interest in creative writing, he found content inspiration from watching his two young boys interact and the world around them. These short stories became the seeds that grew into his newly released picture book series, The Chubby Bubbies, following the culture-themed adventures of two adventurous chipmunk brothers who visit museums, farmers’ markets, libraries, and the great outdoors.
A.M. and his wife raise their sons in a way that existed before the rise of technology, in a lifestyle enhanced by art, music, and reading, and without screens and devices. Seeing their sons’ joy as they discover new things about their world inspired A.M. to create the chipmunk characters in his books, modeled after them and their passions.
A.M. believes a great book is one where the child can see themselves in the relatable characters. He hopes his stories help kids discover the beauty of paintings, music, literature, and nature—and that the spirit of exploration stays with them long after the book is closed.
When he isn’t writing, A.M. is an entrepreneur running companies in women’s wellness products and an inventor holding several patents. His work in innovation has been recognized by the US Congress. He also runs a foundation in his late brother’s name that awards scholarships to graduating high school students and supports other worthy causes.
A lifelong learner with wide-ranging interests, A.M. spends his free time with his violin and enjoys sailing, motorcycling, and traveling. For him, family time is paramount. He lives with his wife, Ola, and their two sons, Julian and Ethan, in the northwestern part of the San Francisco Bay Area, surrounded by oak and redwood trees where the boys spend their days immersed in nature.
